Mike Connell 1963 - 2008
New Media Co-Founder and CEO Mike Connell passed away on December 19, 2008.
Mike was a devoted husband and father. He was an active member of St. Hilary Catholic Church and served as the Grand Knight of the newly formed St. Hilary Knights of Columbus.
He was intrigued by politics and had a knack for technology which drove him to co-found New Media Communications with his wife Heather in 1994. While Mike was known and respected worldwide for his work in politics and technology; he also lived a life of faith and devotion to Christian values.
Whether it was promoting international humanitarian efforts, fighting for the preservation of America’s families and the life of the unborn or supporting Christian education, Mike took a vested personal and business interest in these core issues. By fusing his technological advances with these organizations’ message and work, Mike Connell showcased strong morals throughout the world in hopes of furthering such praiseworthy causes.
In this year’s company Christmas newsletter he wrote, “The road ahead is a tough one, and we need to be ready to dig in … it is the tough times that determine our character, and allow our true colors to shine through. This is just a moment in time and this too shall pass.”
This rings true in the hearts of family, friends and colleagues who were touched by his life and work. While he is no longer with us, his example of ambition, compassion and faith will not be forgotten.
We are sad his life on earth has ended. But mostly, we are thankful for the opportunity to cross paths, establish a relationship and work with this truly honorable man.
