New Media's products and services consistently break new ground while contributing directly to the success of its clients throughout the United States and abroad:
- Following the rollout of .mobi domains, New Media acted rapidly to create the first political .mobi website for DeVos for Governor. From the mobile appliance of choice, users could stay current with breaking news from the campaign, learn more about Dick DeVos and his positions on key issue affecting Michigan.
- In another industry first, New Media sent the first political MMS message to cell phones in Michigan during the 2006 DeVos for Governor Campaign. The send caught the attention of local and national news media, further enhancing to the viral nature of the message.
- In 2006, New Media created the first political Mobile Go Center to facilitate a mobile communications plan for DeVos for Governor. The Mobile Go Center made it possible for users to subscribe to mobile alerts from the campaign, donate to the campaign, apply wallpapers to their phone, and surf a mobile version of the website.
- Every candidate/client New Media served emerged from the 2004 election victorious. Among them were Bush-Cheney '04, Senators John Thune, David Vitter and George Voinovich, seven congressional candidates and a number of state ballot initiatives. Innovative campaign strategies and solid program execution clearly impacted these outcomes.
- New Media helped John Thune raise nearly $1 million online in 2004 -- a significant figure in a statewide election campaign. The groundswell of support (from more than 6,800 people making a total of 8,161 online donations) proved to be pivotal. Thune's victory over Tom Daschle was historic, marking the first time since 1952 that a seated Senate leader had been defeated in a re-election bid.
- The firm’s Bush-Cheney '04 email marketing campaign earned a "Most Innovative Use of Technology" Pollie Award from the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) and a "Greatest Email Marketing Strategies" GEM Award from Lyris Technologies.
- New Media pioneered a remarkably successful cell phone text messaging campaign in Slovenia in 2000. This first-of-its-kind campaign was so successful getting out the youth vote in that country that the technique has become common practice in every major European election since.
- New Media created the first interactive political ad for the Bush 2000 campaign. The ad was unveiled on the candidate’s website – a technique that was quickly copied by other candidates. By 2004, interactive web videos became a common component in all presidential campaigns.
- Since its inception, New Media Communications has won a total of 45 Pollie Awards for excellence in online campaigning from the AAPC and seven Golden Dot Awards from George Washington University's Graduate School of Political Management.
