New Media Communications Inc. achieved 1,219 percent growth between 1997 and 2001, with sales growing from $217,000 to $2.86 million during this period. Inc. magazine formally recognized this achievement by naming New Media Communications to its list of America’s top 500 entrepreneurial growth leaders in 2002.
2005 Entrepreneur of the Year Award Finalist
New Media founder and President Mike Connell was named a regional finalist in Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Awards competition. Connell’s drive and determination, integrity and expertise were cited as factors leading to this award.
TechKnow Awards
Inside Business Magazine's TechKnow Award recognized New Media Communications in 2000 and again in 2002, as a firm that uses innovation and creativity in information technology to create economic benefits for our company and our customers, as well as for our employees and community.
NEO Success Award
The 2002 NEO Success award winners were determined using a two-year growth formula that accounts for revenue growth, employee growth and profitability. New Media achieved this award by delivering success on three levels: at a company level through increased sales; at a community level with more people at work; and at a stakeholder level with better-run companies producing greater profits.
Weatherhead 100
New Media Communications placed third on the Weatherhead 100 list compiled by Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management. The Weatherhead 100 is considered as Northeast Ohio's premier business award recognizing the fastest growing companies in Northeast Ohio.
CAKI Award
New Media Communications was named as the Knowledge Industry Company of the Year in the third annual Cleveland Area Knowledge Industry Awards issued by the Northeast Ohio Software Association.
NorthCoast 99
New Media Communications was selected as a North Coast 99 award recipient for 2000. This award recognizes firms in Northeast Ohio that are identified as "one of the best companies to work for in the region." The selection criteria included benefits and compensation, employee activities, community service and training.
